A very nicely potted and painted blue and white Kosometsuke plate. Its really rare to find one of this size. In Japan a range of these larger landscaped dishes with Chengua mark is known. They are made of a type of porcelain body that is closely related to Kraak porcelain as its known in Europe. These are slightly thicker but the glaze is also quit brittle, causing chipping to the Rim
