A very interesting plate. This is a good example of a Late ming dish with added color decoration. The added colors are not necessary for the decoration. They are an adition to a complete scene. This is similar to Amsterdam Bont. In this scene the added color figures and animals are to large for the original scene, creating a rather odd image.
