Located in Amsterdam (the Netherlands), ShangriLa Antiques specializes in collecting and trading 17th & 18th century porcelain from China and Japan.
Bob Montagne (owner) and Freek Pals (owner) both studied history at the University of Amsterdam and specialized in the Dutch Golden Age. This website is dedicated to their private collection of porcelain. The collection is a reference collection of Japanese and Chinese porcelain, with a specific focus on Dutch decorated Chinese porcelain. The collection consist of several 1000 pieces and is freely usable and accesible for all for study purposes.
The items on this website are not for sale, but can be loaned to museums or can be studied on request. Pieces have also been rented out to movie sets for decoration purposes. This is still possible.
